Fashion Review // Dirty Dancing

Image
I watch this movie every summer, it's a classic that I never get tired of. The songs, the dance, the plot, the very sexy Patrick Swayze, they all contribute to make this film so exciting. It isn't necessary to tell you about the story, I think, because you all have seen the movie, it's a must watch (and I don't even like movies about dancing). Basic shirts and shorts during the day, girlie dresses for the evening, these are the outfit choices Baby, the protagonist, makes. The denim shorts and white blouse tied around her waist (that you can see in the last picture above) are already and iconic look. Camisas e ...

Fashion Review // Coco Avant Chanel

Image
Saw the movie for the second time this week and loved it, just like the first time. Needless to say the wardrobe is excellent, wasn't it about one of the best designers the world has known. The film doesn't focus much on the rise of Coco Chanel in the fashion world, but in the early days, when she worked as a seamstress/cabaret singer. Don't really know how far the film is truly faithful to the biography of Coco, but the important thing here isn't the story itself but the characters, as these are what make the movie standout. Audrey Tautou was able to distance herself completely from Amelie and played a brilliant Coco, full of personality. Besides all this, she sings / dances some super funny cabaret songs that I'm always humming around the house ( see here my favorite). For those who love fashion and this particular stylist, it's definitely a must see. Vi o filme pela segunda vez esta semana e adorei, tal como da primeira. Escusado será dizer que ...

Fashion Review // Cry Baby

Image
A musical that portrays the rebellious youth of the 50's, with a good old Rock n 'Roll sound. A very young Johnny Depp impersonates Cry Baby, a very attractive and seductive bad boy. This one will fall in love with Alison, a "square", who will go from good girl to rebel, when in company of Cry Baby's gang. The key piece in this film is, par excellence, the famous black leather jacket, a symbol of rebellion immortalized by James Dean. This was used by men in conjunction with their hair pulled back, with a slight stern. The pin-up style is present, mainly in the sexy Wanda (first image). She wears bangs, cay eye, red lipstick, tight dresses and scarfs around her neck. This period of independence, emancipation and freedom is shown in a satirical tone that distinguishes this movie from others. Besides that, there is Johnny Depp, which in itself is already a guarantee of quality. I highly recommend. Um musical que retrata a juventude rebelde ...

BEAUTY - My favorite lipsticks

Image
Born Lippy Watermelon & Born Lippy Pomegranade - The BodyShop | 22 Dark Red & 84 Red - Kiko Don't like to spend much money on makeup, so I just buy what I really need. My lips are very dry so I have to wear an moisturizing lipstick all the time. I'm a sucker for those who smell really nice (lemon, mint, melon, grapes…) and this first one from The BodyShop it's like an explosion of watermelon scent, just can't get enough of it. The other one doesn't have such a strong fragrance, but smells nice too. Besides that, leaves a really pretty red color on my lips and that's amazing. Months ago, I really needed to buy a red lipstick since my previous one from Avon was just a piece of crap (pardon my french). These two from Kiko only costed me 2 euros each. I tough "It's better buy another one in a different tone, just in case I don't like the first one". Well, loved both. The cover is mate and they last all day. The only think bad is...

Fashion Review // Une femme est une femme

Image
Saw this movie just yesterday and loved it, wish it would never end. At first, the whole nonsense was a bit strange, then I enjoyed it. The actress has a beauty of its own, different from the Hollywood celebrities who generally look all the same. The main character is irresistible and super funny, she dresses in a lovely way also. Gave me the urge to go buy some red tights, then join my red cardigan, skirt and black ballerinas and go hopping around the city streets. In addition to the colored tights and caps, knee-length skirts, the large trench coat and white lingerie, she always wears bangs and cat eye, two things you already know I appreciate very much (I use both, in fact). It was the first Nouvelle Vague movie I saw and it will not be the last. I highly recommend. Vi ontem este filme e adorei, queria que ele nunca mais acabasse.  Primeiro estranhei todo o nonsense , depois apreciei-o.  A actriz tem uma beleza muito própria, diferent...
